>> We can't necessarily have our cake and eat it too. No way cities are going to allow for unregulated dispensaries. We need to embrace zoning and regulations that allow for lawful enterprise. Many other type of businesses are subject to regulation within town limits. No one, especiallly politicians for example, will ever concede to dispensaries near schools or non-commercially zoned neighborhoods. And you know what, I agree! While'st I advocate to medicate, I don't want my children exposed prematurely to da ganga. Just like I don't necessarily want dispensaries on every corner at the end of my street. For society to accept MMJ dispensaries as we would like it, we have to tread lightly and advocate REASONABLE REGULATION of LAWFULLY run, above board collectives ABIDING by Prop 215 guidelines that do not raise red flags for city officials and da cops. Reckless dispensary owners turning PROFITS selling 'tree' to every Vato under the sun, with their Bob Marley and 50's pin-up girl weed websites, doing so under the flag of Prop 215, does us all a disservice - and it screams criminal conduct to John Q. Middle Class, not the medically beneficial services we've come 2 love.
Let's keep our sights set on what's going to fly in America and shoot for short-term successes like in da Long Beach. Also, let's look inside ourselves and self-regulate the BS business practices that rise to the attention of every 'Agnus Anaheim' and 'Willy Westminster' in our neighborhoods who report this stuff some cop shop We-Tip line and City Council person's email.
