Quite frankly, I'm surprised that they received such high scores, as my experiences with Naturals have not been very positive. I hate to come across like a jerk, but I think patients should hear some of the negative experiences too...

First the positive: The shop itself is very nice; it feels more like an upscale salon than a 'college dorm', the way some disp. in GJ feel. Additionally, the owner, "B----" is very nice and friendly.

HOWEVER...Naturals has NO QUALITY CONTROL, whatsoever!
I've seen bugs, PM, mold, and tons of 'nanners and seeds. I pointed out mold to the owner once, (a jar full of moldy, moist buds), and he put the jar right back on the self, even after I explained how sick it could make a patient with a weakened immune system! Rather than pulling that jar and refusing to sell "meds" covered in mold to his patients, he put the jar right back on the shelf to be sold to the next 'rube', even though it had the potential to make one of his patients sick and harm his store's reputation.
While the owner, is very nice, he is not knowledgeable about the biz or about the plant. Neither is the 'manager', "T---", who confused a most basic canna-fact: the effects of Indica vs. Sativa, on my first visit. I inquired as to how the hash they were selling at the time was made, and he didn't know, (nor did he know anything about the background of the strains he was selling.) The next time I went in, he was hyping some "cryogenic" hash, (which was really just refrigerated BHO), since I wasn't interested in that, I asked if they ever got any 'bubble'; he proceeded to go on a tirade about ice water hash and how 'he would NEVER carry it in "his" shop...Well, apparently he has since changed his mind, as I've seen bubble being sold there a few times since.

Finally, I saw this same guy park in a handicapped spot in front of the store, just the other day. It was 10 am, a very busy time of day for both the Black Bear and coffee shop, which sit on either side of the disp...not to mention taking the space from the disabled PATIENTS that he is supposed to be "caring" for!!

As I said, I really like the owner but the disposition of the manager, coupled with the inattention and lack of care with regard to quality control, given the frequency that I have seen bugs and nanners and mold on their bud, have led me to put Naturals on my official "boooo" list!


If you do go to Naturals, (or any disp. for that matter), my advice: bring a LOUPE & inspect their bud CLOSELY!!

As soon as you walk through the door you can tell that some thought has gone into this business. It is not just a thrown together over night type of atmosphere at all. It is very comfortable.

The staff seem to be very friendly and are very quick to get you what you need. I do wish that they were able to be more detailed about the strains when I ask them questions beyond the stereo-typical "How's the taste?". I like to know about the cannabis that I am purchasing, more than "Wow this one will really set you up nice". I am the type of guy who wants to engage in an intelligent and informative discussion on the strains that are being offered. Two examples come to my mind; a) I asked about a jar labeled as "Diesel". Is that from the cut of Sour Diesel, or Original Diesel, or NYC Diesel, etc. and he just looked at me as if it didn't matter as long as it said Diesel. b) I asked about their "Chemdog" was it the 91', the D, #4, and was told that he was not sure, he could ask someone. Get real. Know your product!

The bud quality is pretty good. I have taken all my selections home and put them under the magnifying eye-piece for my telescope to examine them. The trichs on at least a quarter of the strains are still clear, not even cloudy, let alone a nice cloudy/amber mix. A clear sign of being pulled early. Let those babies cloud/amber up a little before they are pulled. The "bag appeal" of the buds is always top notch, but I personally am not so concerned with that. Plenty of strains can look pretty and smoke poor. The smoke from the buds purchased at Naturals has always been very clean and smooth. I do enjoy there product, I just think that (as with anything) there is room for improvement.

The pricing is fair. With most strains coming in under 50 for an eighth and the "Super Strains" coming in at 55. Plus tax on both. I suppose that this pricing is fair, but I do expect top notch product and service for these prices.

I have inquired about clones of the smokeable strains on occasion and have not gotten anywhere with the staff. They do not seem as if they can or are willing to get the more desirable strains in plant form. They do carry some standards like ISS and Blueberry. Last time I was in there they did not have any clones or plants for sale.

Overall I would certainly recommend them to any medical user. They certainly take care of you while you are there. Though I would certainly check the trichs on the buds to make sure you personally are cool with them.

As for patients who opt to grow your own. I would recommend looking elsewhere as they do not seem to have access or some such to the more desirable and exotic strains that are floating around other places.

This is by far the nicest shop on the western slope. The quality of the meds is fantastic. I do not feel like i have to sneak in and out of there without being seen. They have a Dr. on site once a week. They also offer massage and they have an oxygen bar that helps me with my migraines. GO THERE! The staff there is very helpful and they will go above and beyond to help you with whatever you need and they are very knowlegable.....Naturals Wellness Center is the best of over 20 shops i have shopped.
