The place was pretty easy to find just way deep into la jolla, but i tried this place out for the first time with my buddy for there first time 5 gram eight deal last week and came out pretty disappointed. At first the chick at the front desk was on her facebook when we got there and while checking our information she kept going back to her facebook as if she was finishing her message. Then when we went in it really seemed as if she didnt want us there and as if we were wasting her time cause i like to scope the buds and take my time but it seemed as if it was not aloud. The buds were good quality i thought for sd but i wouldnt say they were high quality and worth the amount they are charging. The other thing that got me was that they advertise that monday is free gram if you donate $50 or more but apparently you dont get that free gram when its your first time, but i know thats debatable but i think they should advertise not applicable with first time deal at least. But the top of the cherry was that the chick shorted my friend and I .3 in each of our eighths. Granted i know we still got hooked up but if i knew i was gonna get shorted then i could of took my money else where were they would of probably hooked it up a lil more instead of .3 short. I know people make mistake but how the hell do you make two mistakes in a row and both of them being .3 short?

I went "shopping" on Wednesday 8/11 with my Bro around town & LJAH just happened to be one of the 3 spots we went to that day.
I do have to say now that I totally understand why girls love shopping so much...I must get the same feeling that they do because I just can't get enough of driving around & looking for the best quality as well as the best deals to go along with it, I use coupons & any sale that I think is well worth the time to stop by & take a look.

LJAH offers some good deals to new patients & even returning one's but you better have a coupon which is easy to get from any Kush magazine but my bro & I decided to give this place a shot since it wan on route with where we were going & the 5.0g 1/8 was also enticing.
We also had a coupon from last month's Kush Magazine which was donate $50 an receive a "house 1/8" FREE so we decided we would check it out an see if the coupons were valid an if we could still use them since there wasn't an expiration date on the coupon like most dispensaries have.

There is a parking garage underneath the building which is a HUGE + since parking would surely be a nightmare on those streets & parking is sometimes just that at some other places but LJAH has a really nice location & i'm very surprised to see dispensaries in such a nice part of S.D.
I been to dispensaries in the ghetto & in just random places that no one else would know about but patients but when I visited La Jolla & P.B. shops on Wednesday then things were flipped completely but I really like it to tell you the truth & since i'm from a beautiful town like Encinitas, it gives me hope that maybe a dispensary might open up here as well one day.

Anyways.........ChemDawg got me all off track but back to LJAH, I walked in an of course there is a chick there, seems now everywhere I go that their are girls working at dispensaries & oh is it coincidence that their really good looking(?) No, I think not but oh well its not a big deal because some chicks I've met know their cannabis so I at least give them a shot before judging them but its rare an the usual bud buyer knows exactly what i'm talking about.

My bro & I get to the back of the green room after filling out paperwork since we are new to LJAH an we get back to a dark ass room which is cool because they have the jars lit up with these spotlights above you that are bright as hell...At first this looks like we're about to shoot a porno flick up in here with just 2 dudes a hot blonde & this movie lighting & all these dank buds, all we needed was a camera man & some bad dialogue hahaha i'm just joking of course & mean no offense to the budtender/receptionist, honestly she was cool.

I loved the lighting there because when you grabbed the jars an lifted them like people usually do, you know kind of slanted up to your face about a inch away so you can get a good glance then a good smell after. Well the lights just shine right over your shoulder as if someone was right behind you with a bright white light pointed right at the jar while your looking, its genius, anyways there were like uh 20 or more Jars there but thats just a guess but the Jars were really small Jars compared to what I've seen in other places but its not like cases or anything but I have bigger jars at home but there is a bunch so its fun to look through them all, I showed the budtender my coupon an she told me it was expired an I didn't argue, she told me that I could get the free 1/8 but it was going to be of this...An she pulled out some shwaggy looking bud in a turkey bag from underneath the counter & man it didn't look promising so I passed on that quickly, she did recommend I go with the 5.0g 1/8 an I did because I didn't want the free shwag so I examined every jar with my bro & I smelled the Kushes first of course because in my opinion thats where its at but I also stumbled upon their Headband which was almost all gone or at least their nugs were gone & all that was left was some shake but it smelled wonderful, like sour d with a hint of something else but pungent smelling like it ought be.

Their O.G. Kush was the same lame sad story as the Dank Headband, nothing left or not enough to buy but I was able to get a good smell of it & it smelled really strong & just made my mouth water when I smelled it even though I had crazy cottonmouth & even typing about it now is making my mouth water but of course this is their top shelf an it will cost you $60 which in my opinion isn't worth it but I haven't tried it yet but I have tried other Kushes for way cheaper an they were bomb an mouth watering as well so thats why I say that.

The Cheese was honestly the best looking one I've seen so far & when held to up the lights show all kinds of nice crystals all over an not just underneath but all over which made my decision tougher since I've been wanting to try cheese really bad but haven't found a good batch, it also had a funny smell but I liked it an was intrigued to try it even more but I couldn't jump the gun just yet so I looked some more & popped more tops an came across alot of strains that looked the same but had its little differences, for example, the ChemDawg & the Pure Kush there looked exactly alike almost identical but the smell was different for sure, the ChemDawg didn't smell at all in my opinion unless broken up or squeezed while the Pure Kush smelled when you smelled it up close but it definitely didn't smell like any Kush I have smelt so I looked again since I narrowed it down & the lights again helped because I think the trichomes are much more abundant in the ChemDawg than the Pure Kush so I went with looks over smell which is not like me at all but i'm very happy & it got me medicated enough to write this.

I went with the super dense & perfectly trimmed ChemDawg that was covered in Love & some really bomb Jack Flash that smelled amazing for a sativa an smelled alot like Trainwreck but you can definitely smell the Jack as well & this baby is covered in trichomes as are all of the buds at LJAH but this one sativa hybrid an stood out the most out of everything(Besides the O.G.), LJAH had alot of dank but what one bud had the other didn't but I will say that they have really nice dense buds just covered in Trichomes an cannabinoids that look amazing an you can surely find something you like but it might cost you an don't let the $50 cap fool you because its not on everything, just on the everything you would want of course. I liked LJAH an would go again so if anybody read all this then WOW!!! You must be as high as me, I got to go smoke this $10 Joint of 100% Bubba Kush Nugs grinded up & rolled tight with my smoking buddy Irie Bear, Happy Shopping S.D.

I've been to LJAH about 10 times. They always have the same variety of stuff. Not usually anything to special. The one thing they do get that is always good is Headband. They have recently changed their prices and raised them on stuff that used to be cheaper, like the Headband for example used to be 45/eighth, now for the same bud its 55. Disappointing when a block or two away you can get some crazy meds for the same 55 or 60. Hopefully these guys will grab some more top shelf and bring some better quality to their collective, especially for 55 or 60.

I had a free 1/8th coupon for this place, so I decided to give it a try. I wasn't very impressed with the quality, but there was a good variety. Their best meds were priced at $60 and I was misled that there were $50 caps (which is more reasonable). Since I got the freebie coupon, I guess I don't get to partake in the daily special or new patient discount. Also, not very impressed with the free bud they did give me which I had no control over. Was very old, dried out and has a bit of a moldy taste when smoked. So beware of the fine print folks, I don't think I will be making a visit back unless they get better quality stuff!

i went to this place, and i had a very good experience, jj was very help full, i have been to alotta places. and this guy may not know every thing but he does know some. and help me out pretty well. bud where very nice not the green house or the obm. but og kush, and blue dream are amazing. big building a little creepie but all in all good time got to talk for a bit and go. tip... park in the garage under building. and take the elevator.

Prices are what draw you in, you dont see to many 20 dollar 8ths out there. but with the low prices come the low quality. Ive been there 3 times and everytime they have the same buds. no complaint just nothing special... at all. the staff is pretty lame. the girl is nice to look at but not very stoney/informative. the guy jj is pretty lame, not only have i gone twice with him being there, the next time i went in my file was never even put in the computer. he was probably to "busy" to put it in and then just remembered me and didnt put it in the second time??? very unprofessional and left bad thoughts in my head. dont let there bull s hit ad fool you either. it says no where on it, AT ALL, that there is a 5 dollar charge to make your first 8th 5 grams. the ad just says 5 gram 8th to new customers. please either change the ad or just put up your end of the deal. when i read below that a few people werent charged it made me even more over this place.


final thoughts:
nice price but your getting very worky buds, some is straight shake and they wont even hook it up or bring the price down.

Bringing you to a back room thats all secluded like it is there is nice, but the staff just brings this place down. JJ learn how to keep the customer coming back, not wanting to call you a wanna be know it all who really has very little knowledge on the subject.

go to GGR instead if you want to go to a proper medicinal dispensary. I dont work for them i just appreciate a place that cares and actually helpfully answers any and all questions.

Only cool thing about this place is hot receptionist. They're sketchy and don't keep patients names or emails confidential. The bud isn't good. There's maybe like 3 SOLID strains. Very inconvenient location and they always make you wait for a while. Don't go here or if you do just go get yer five gram 1/8th for new members and never go back

Went there my first time the other day, cuz of the 5 g dealio u know? Was sunday so only one person working, which made me wait much much longer than any other place ive been to about 20 mins or so. Pretty good selection of price ranges, but only 4-5 i'd consider gettin but im more of a top shelf guy. Ended up splitting my 5g's 3 ways, which i like variety so i got some OG, purple kush, and royal kush. Purples was prob the best, nice sweeter tasting OG, very nice. Royal comes in a close second, being more of a classic kush, and the OG was kinda sorta strange. Strong taste, but almost too strong? Tastes like they didn't flush out the chemicals that much, never tasted anything like it. At first it was good, but i notice the weirdness more and more. Not sure what thats about. Definately worth the 5 G trip, and if I was looking for some pretty good 40-45 stuff i would for sure come back. Nice work.

Normally i like this place, i've picked up a few Oz's there and got a really great deal, and a lot of information from the girl working. Another time a friend and i bought an OZ each and the guy working was cool he even gave us a few extra g's of shake and a free edible for buying so much.. but the most recent time, i went in there to get a half ounce and the guy working young guy piercings etc. he was very unorganized and said " i can give you a deal on an eighth but not on a half. I think we have specials but i havent talked to my boss, i would give you a deal but i dont wanna get fired" and i couldn't get a receipt cause he couldn't work the register.. i like this place but i was way disappointed with that particular budtender.

I really liked this place. First off it was easy to find there's a big sign on the front of the building it's on the second floor and there's a parking garage under the building i didn't go down there because i got dropped off but if you can park down there this spot is super discreet just walk up the staircases and pretty much no one can see where you are going. The lobby is comfortable, clean and professional looking even if it is a bit small. The verification process was a snap literally two minutes, and then back into the bud room. This place is super secure it seems like too with a locked gate leading to the back. The budroom is very large, but sparsely decorated, and it looks like there's even more space accessible if they wanted to expand. Now on to the important stuff, the buds were very high quality for the price. I was pleasantly surprised since i have not been to a place with a $45 cap yet and was expecting some schwag. So i ended up getting the headband and the purple kush. The headband was $45 and has a nice potent smell almost like chemicals, a nice light green color, with decent trichromes and and a nice uplifiting high i smoked this and got all kinds of stuff done went for a bike ride on the beach basically a good time. The purple kush is $40 and does not have the most powerful smell but definitely has a hint of grapes which unfortunately wasn't really there in the taste that i could tell, it wasn't super purple but had a good bit of purp and again decent crystal production, it was definitely a good smoke and i felt decent effects in my body from it. Even their outdoor looked pretty nice and that was only $30 for an 1/8. Also now that i look back on the picture on the site here they are exactly what the buds in the jar looked like. I have noticed that a lot of places put some really nice looking pictures up and then when you get there they definitely don't look that good. But the pictures here were spot on and it seemed like they had most if not all of the strains with pics displayed. I will definitely hit this place up again when i'm in the area.

Went a few weeks back and couldn't find them on here as i only knew them by the name of LJAh, my bad anyways, great place.
Bud quality: not the best i have seen but good selection of B- & up grade herbs; Chem Dog was really nice as was Purple D.
Atmosphere: Nice enough didn't feel sketchy but also had a very plain waiting room. The bud room is MUCH better and i loved the stools, made it feel less like a store counter and more like a bar.
Staff: only one guy working the day i went in, sorry man but im bad with names. Cool guy, very VERY knowledgeable, & treated me and my friend like long lost buddies. Although he did ask if we were brothers as we both have the same 1st name lol.
Convenience: Street parking was easy to find and if your already familiar with La Jolla its easy to find.
Price: $45 cap on top grade buds...nuf said!

Only downside: 21 and up , not a prob for me but a friend i had sent was refused...as per their rules.

I was in the neighborhood and decided to check this place out. They have apparently updated their pricing, because they now have a $45 cap. and they don't charge any tax.

I was initially greeted by a beautiful woman who worked there. She took care of my verification in no time, and led me back to the bud room. I mentioned the special for newbies that they have, and she said, "Yes, you get a five gram eighth for your first time here." She also let me split my eighth, so I could try out two items off of their menu.

I bought LA Confidential and some Afghan Wreck. Both have nice, tight buds, which are good-sized. The Afghan Wreck has me totally medicated right now, I recommend it. The LA Confidential also works well and smells like heaven. The budtender recommended their Headband to me and it looked great. I will have to try that out next time.

I handed her the $45 and was prepared to pay tax, but she said, "There's no tax added." So, that was sweet. They are a cash-only collective.

This place was nice and very laid back. There was no problem finding parking at 6:30 pm on a Wednesday. I would definitely go back here again when I am in La Jolla.

I don't know about these other peoples experiences, but I have to say my experience was GREAT! J.J. was the bud tender that helped me through the whole process.(Very cool dude) Very laid back feel. Not like a lot of these uptight shops that make you feel like your in a pharmacy or something. Like the bud tender here told me, and I agree,( IT'S JUST WEED!). Very refreshing to deal with a REAL person. Anyway,the bud quality was excellent! Good selection with a lot of beautiful looking strains. For my 5 g 1/8 I opted to try the Purple Kush, and some LA Confidential. Both where very tasty, and had a very nice choke which I happen to like. J.J. let me split my 1/8 any way I wanted to so I chose the 2 I wanted. I don't know what these other cats are talking about, but I'm here to tell you none of it is true! Seeing is believing so stop by yourself and see for your self. Keep up the good work. YOU GUY'S ROCK!!!

If you want to get away and make of day of it you can. They are located right by the coast and its relaxing when you are there. I picked up some purple diesel and it was great. Hybrid with 50/50 sat/ind. It was what I requested and the BT was nice. He seemed to really care. They do charge tax so that through me off so be prepared for that because they are the only ones so far that I know that charge the tax. So a $55 8th turns into $60. It's worth it if you are looking for a more classy collective that is clean and more of a mature crowd.

Stopped by here the other day to check out the Headband that a few people on here had been saying good things about and while smelling really nice, it was at the bottom of the jar so I passed. The 5 gram first time slice is a nice incentive to try this place, but other than that I don't think I will be making a return visit. The quality of the Meds is pretty good. The La Con and the Purple Diesel and the Bubba Gift aswell as the Green C and Master were pretty good examples of the strains but here is where my complaints start. Not being able to split my slice was a major drag to be honest. I would have like to have tried the Bubba Gift along with the Master I got so I could mix it up, but that is not aloud on the 5 gram first time slice for some weird reason and probably the most annoying thing about my experience here is the Price. No breaks for quarters or halfs or zipz!!!! Ok, you want to have a 60 to 65 cap, thats fine, just don't hit the tax button after you ring up the meds. I really wish all clubs would just include the tax with the donation. With that being said, my Master which was originally 60 turned into 65 which for 5 grams is fine, but for less weight than that I would not return.
