I go to this place whenever I'm in La Jolla. I love the atmosphere and the view from the nug room. I always get a very laid back vibe while getting quality medicine. I got an 1/8 of master kush and 1/8 of Super Silver Haze. The master kush was stoney and was a great indica that had me feeling no pain. The super silver haze was some of the best medicine I've smoked in a while. I seem to always find good nugs here. The place has good quality buds, an awesome view, and a hiot chic behind the counter. Everything I would expect when buying my herb in La Jolla.

This club is conveniently located right down the street form where I work and has been known to carry some decent meds from time to time. The BT's are heavy-handed and always kick me down with free samples. Their flowers are capped at $60 and they offer an array of concentrates, tinctures, sodas, and other edibles.

On this occasion I was on the hunt for some decent blunt material for a nice after work sesh. There were two other members ahead of me so I had plenty of time to scope out their selection, which consisted of about 15-18 strains. While I looked over their strains, I noticed they had a new female BT (maybe she's not new, but she's new to me). Anyways, for some reason I felt like she was out of place. Besides being dressed provocatively, she didn't seem very knowledgeable of their house strains either. I really hope Horizon is not going in the whole "scantily clad female BT" direction..this does not make your product look any better. Most of their flowers on this visit were low-grade and looked like $40/$45's at the most. By the time it was my turn, I still hadn't found anything worth leaving with. Every container I opened seemed to smell the same as the one before. Their entire top shelf selection was rather depressing and I almost left without making a donation. This club seriously needs to rethink its donation prices if they're going to be offering such ugly erb. The Pure Kush I ended up getting was definitely not worth $60, but it was the best they had, I needed some relief, and I can't bring myself to smoke on crap. So..the Pure actually had a nice coat of powdery trichs and I was able to break it up easily with my bare hands (perfect for the blunt smoker on the run). I can't really comment on the taste, as the grape cigar I rolled it in overpowered any flavor it may have had. The buds do however have a nice scent to them, faint, but still present. I'd gladly come back for some more of this strain if they'd just lower the donation price by about $10.

I was headed to La Jolla to do some surfing and stopped into Horizon to get some meds. I went with the Hindu Kush, good nugs and the high was awesome. Great day in La Jolla, love this place.

Best meds in the San Diego area. I have been to most they can't compare to this place. Very clean and upscale. Try the The Pure or the Blue Dream.

First time visitor, first time buying from a collective. Fantastic experience overall. I went to the La Jolla location and as the earlier reviewer said the setup is top notch, safe, and most importantly very good meds. The staff were a pleasure to deal with and their recommendations where excellent, i went with an 1/8 of Purple Kush, an 1/8 of Blue Dream and i also tried one of their oils. All products where superb. I would highly recommend this collective to anyone looking for quality meds, edibles and all sorts of goodies.

I usually go to the other Horizon by my house in point loma but this one is like no other collective I've ever seen. The view from the nug room is amazing and its in the nicest area of la jolla. The menu and prices are the same as point loma so they don't raise prices just because they're located in La Jolla. There is an underground parking lot where you can leave your car for 15 minutes if you tell the guy you're going to the collective. La Jolla parking is a bitch but this solves that problem. The people that work there are good people and actually know what they're talking about. I usually get some medicine from here and then head up to the hookah lounge in the living room cafe. Good times Horizon.

It could have just been when I came but it looked like an empty construction project when i came in. Maybe it got flooded? Anyway, i had to walk in to the bud room to get somebody and it was soso. The view was great though. Oh ya and I couldnt figure out where it was for about 8 minutes, kind of hidden?

Just wanted to give these guys another good review. This was the first place I hit up and now that I've been to a number of places, I appreciate the quality even more.

The atmosphere is relaxed but professional when you walk in. Like a doctor's office upon opening the front door, but the view of the coast from the bud room is exceptional.

Every time I've gotten nugs they give me a full bud, no grab bag of trimmings to make up the amount. And the strength has always been there so far.

And the edibles are without a doubt the strongest I've tried, the Rainbow Cookies/Brownies and Chocolate Star's are both strongly recommended.

This is the first dispensary that I've visited.

The people I met (Luke and Craig) were very helpful, pointed out some different strains I might be interested in and tossed in a free hash chocolate on my first visit. Half that chocolate put me on my ass, after that night I decided to start logging the stuff I tried to figure out the right amount for my needs. Next up was a brownie that I snagged (and I wish I could remember the name, think it might have been Rainbow Brownie), I diced it up in thirds and ate one portion. For a good 2-2.5 hours I was nicely relaxed, then I was again mad blunted.

Both highs were mellow, though I felt a little more retarded off the chocolate, probably due to the dose.

Last night I finally tried out the strain I picked up, Blue Dream a beautiful looking, stinky Indica. I packed a small bowl and let it hit me. Very introspective high, but good positive one. Woke up today feeling refreshed and ready for work.

Have been back a few more times. I was looking for a more mellow smoke (less coughing/harshness) and they recommended the Pot O Gold. I've smoked two small bowls of it so far, both times were pretty smooth, but nice highs and the herb smelled so good.

Tried out a couple Rainbow Cookies in an attempt to get the dose right so I'm not completely retarded when going the edible route. Even a 1/4 cookie gets me pretty affected, so in terms of bang for the buck these things definitely work.

On one of my visits they threw in a free high-grade shake joint, shit got me taken care of. Obviously nothing fancy like the specific strains, but I think these only run around 5 bucks.

Over the last 3-4 months I feel like I've watched this place gradually grow from a "SO-SO" spot into a real compassionate collective. They don't ask for my I.D. anymore, they know who I am. It's nice to be able to just walk right into the nug room without any hassle. I'm very familiar with their menu so any new strains added to the board pop-out automatically. On this occasion they had some Kali Mist that had the ol' cat piss aroma, but didn't really look like the Kali. I ended up going with an eighth of their Pure Kush $60 (super powdery nugs with a strong scent, taste was a little on the mild side and I personally thought the high was more of a sting than a stone.) Anyway, the BT's let me part with it for $50 instead of $60 which is great. He also threw in a .7 of another strain for free and when I asked about some little chocolate edibles they had on display...guess what? got one of those for free too. And OMG this chocolate! this little piece of nothing rocked my world...I mean, I feel I have a pretty high tolerance, especially with edibles, but this tiny treat had me feeling like I had just smoked back2back blunts by myself! It was like the size of a silver dollar for Pete's sake and it didn't even taste that bad at all. It was a Cayenne Mint Chocolate star and they're $10...don't let the size fool you...them things is mean.

OMG!!! If you havent checked this place out, your missing out!! First off I have to say the view is awesome, from both the deck and the bud room!! The guys there are great! They know what their talking about, are helpful, and kind. The bud is awesome, with lots of choices and perfect prices you CANT GO WRONG! They have lots of choices of hash and edibles as well. I got this hash chocolate, and if you like getting ripped, OMG! This little $10 chocolate did me in! I wanted to sit on the couch, in front of the huge bay window overlooking the ocean and chill with these guys all day! This is my spot!!

Am I the only patient that goes to this place...? I swear no one reviews this club.

Anyways, after my last visit with them closing an hour and a half earlier than they were suppose to and leaving me medless, I tell you..it really left a bad taste in my mouth. BUT once again, I was in a bind and needed a quick solution and Horizon is the only dispensary in walking distance from my work...so Horizon it was. I was actually surprised to see some decent $50 strains and the first one I looked at was it. Their Grape Skunk had a real potent fruity aroma and such an appealing look that I didn't even feel the need to look at anything else. The BT weighed out some nice chunky nugs for me and threw in the usual free lighter and I was off to get some much needed relief.

As good as this strain smelled, it majorly lacked in taste, however it did do the job and that's what's most important. One bowl had me where I needed to be.

I really do depend on this place sometimes for my meds. When I'm in a bind and in need of some healing, this place is close by, and offers a quick solution to my problems. However on this occasion that was not the case. I showed up on my lunch break (5:30pm), a good hour and a half before they closed (7pm) only to find a locked door and the beginning of a very long night.

Thank God for a close dispensery. I mean, I felt the migraine coming, didn't bring my meds to work with me, and knew if I didn't medicate I would have to suffer the wrath. So I quickly whipped out my phone and hit up weedmaps to see what time they closed..to my surprise they were open till 7pm so I got there a good half hour before they closed. I really only had about 50 bucks on me so my selection was pretty limited. I still checked out their top shelf and it really wasn't that impressive. The strain I went with was the Blue Dream and was really fairly decent for $50/eighth. I must say it was better than some of their $60/eighth strains. I quickly rolled up some dreamy stuff and puffed it till I was in a better place. I loved how the high didn't leave me all drowsy, instead I was able to handle business as usual..PAIN FREE!! thanx fellas, will be back when the time comes.

Stopped by yesterday to see what's new and was plesantly surprised to see something other than the M.I.L.F. topping the dry-erase board. Two in particular looked more appealing to me; Afgoo and Pure Kush(both 20/60). I wanted to try a little of each, so I asked the BT if he could weigh me out a half gram of each. At first he was hesitant and said he couldn't do it, but he must have seen my utmost dissapointed face and ended up showing some compassion. He actually ended up throwing in a 1.3 of some super purple Sour Diesel for free, also got a $5 pre-rolled of outdoor shake, and he threw in a free lighter.

Afgoo: Nice looking and pretty fresh (just a bit crisp), plenty of orange hairs and loaded with trichomes. Smell is a mix of must and grass. Taste is definitely partial to the Goo, nice thick smoke and no harsh taste at all. Medication strength/high is an 8 out of 10.

Pure Kush: Beautifully grown kush. Totally frosted buds with a rich sugary smell. Taste is very clean, but rather flavorless. Med strength/high is an 8 out of 10.

Sour Diesel: Completely Purple buds or even a dark purple, pretty weird, especially for the D. Twas a little on the dry side and lacked that undeniable smell. Taste was not there and smoke was pretty harsh. Med strength/high is a 6 out of 10.

Pre-Rolled: Some dry outdoor or indoor (no sure) shake rolled up and ready to go. 5 jays (maybe a g each) for $20 or 1 for $5. Taste ;(..could barley finish the damn thing it was so harsh. Well it did however do the job cause I was highly medicated off of it. Med strength is an 7 out of 10.
