Great parking and very close to the 405 freeway. Large location and very friendly staff. The medicine is not the best i've had but it was worth it. They have a very cleaver smart point system that any patient should see.

Rude staff didn't even say hello when I walked in. Poor patient services, lazy staff member wouldn’t even verify my valid license, which I just got renewed. I am a patient with a medical condition that I am licensed for. Going to a get my medicine should be easy and convenient; Medmar made it the exact opposite. What a terrible experience. If you enjoy being treated like you are a criminal or an idiot go to Medmar they will make you feel right at home!!

I love Medmar. They have super nice staff, all the girls are beautiful. The parking is outstanding. Their Prices aren't too bad. The only thing i wish is that their medicine quality was one step up from where it is. They still have pretty decent medicine though. And they are the only place I"ve been to that has any sort of point system for containers. I recommed checking it out for sure.

I was looking for a dispensary close to my house, and this was the first one to pop up. I went once and was very disappointed at the bud quality and the prices. For $60 for their best strains which were dry and flavored with something after the growing, it was not worth it. I will not be going back to this club, I know that there are better clubs with better but cheaper bud in the area. Don't waste your time.

This could be the worst club I been to...of course i just went once, but the bud was way overrated and there was a extra long wait in front.

Prices were def higher...and bud was dry....no resins...

They are located next to an internet cafe where alot of stoner types hang so it has convenience so I think they just get away with it...

I also hate when there's some dungeons and dragons playing, potato chip guzzling type geek there trying to suck up to the staff so he can hang out around the marijuana...like its so amazing and cool to just be in a club or something...

You know the type...the "Hey Spike, we gonna go chase some cars today..?" type...

I love med mar! I was looking for something close to the Orange County fair and I went to a couple of different locations in the area, and this location was by far the best! I went to a dispensary near med mar that had beautiful looking elegant pastries but they did absolutely nothing! Couple days later on return to the costa mesa area and fair I decided to check out med mar because of there wonderful edible and staff reviews. I was greeted right away with smiles from every volunteer! They told me about there specials and point systems. I was just eager to check out the edibles, and boy was I happy. I bought 4 different 10x (Pineapple lolli,crunkle?,snoopy mix, and one of the full melt chocolates)items and 2 of the ettables and was very happy with every product. I have severe muscle spasms and insomnia, and I have built up a tolerance to edibles, and these products fully medicated me with a half or a little under. Thanks again MedMar I will be coming back soon!

as much as i hate to say it... the quality of med's could be better than they are at good old med mar but if u had any common sense .... you wouldnt complain about it.. I simply say the meds could be better only because i perfer certain indicas. However, not all meds there are meant for me seeing as how i do not like the way certain strains affect. But as far as being ripped off for .24 of a gram???? man i wouldn't be writing on here i would be down there letting them know they messed up. but as the title says ''whatever floats your boat''!! After learning what i am looking for when i pick my strain; I have yet to worry about the flower not being "good enough" for me at medmar. although! with the good comes the bad.....MED MAR plz remember most of us patients are brokeif you want more customers to stay around lower your donations !!!
. But I must say the volunteers there are some of the most knowledgable budtenders around. . PS if you need help ask for Angie. she was pretty impressive with her knowledge to the point that she had my full attention.

Bud quality here is not up to par with what other collectives in the area are providing. Location is solid, atmosphere is great, price is slightly high for quality provided, and the staff was friendly. Bottom line if we were to rate this collective on a 1-10 scale it would be around 6. There is a lot of potential really, the medicine quality is what is lacking and that is a big deal.

I'm always willing to give a second look to see if ownership has improved quality of medicine over time, because last time I went here was a while ago.

Starting off right at the front door peaceful atmosphere, great staff, and they even give out free water. Waiting time was not a big deal either, The front had me checked in a verified in no time. First time patients are treated the same every time you come back it seems with all the great attitudes. After checkin in, the show room was the first thing i saw and WOW!! Extremely great bud. Getting to know the bud tender was the best part informed me all about the specials and the points system with every Donation you will receive one point for every dollar Donation. Perfect because the top item is a sweet vapor and its digital 2500 points wicked!... Well With the selection I would have to say to notch... Best quality buds in orange county by far. They have some strains of MR.Nice and Afgani that is OMG a Sleeper. By far my favorite, also i was shown a bunch of really elegant sativas. I would have to say my favorite was the Headband with the SFV OG. Each specific strain had a story about it and how special it was. I really like the Private Reserve if your ever looking to pamper yourself. When packing up i was also asked if i wanted a free gram of choice or else a clone that they had. The clones by far best in town. i couldnt believe my eyes when i seen them 15 dollars its a great deal, some looked to be a little further along then others. I went with a free gram of the Mr nice. Well at the end I could not help but to tip out the staff that helped me even on the way out with a very welcoming far-well..I give this place 5 stars for Quality Service Great environment well full of smile. I recommend this collective to anyone.

Wow, I have been to many places in the OC area and this was one of the most disappointing experiences I have had.

With high hopes, and only $35 to spend, I thought I'd hit this place up for the first time since it's very close to my house.

I was greeted promptly and checked in within a couple minutes. 2 stars for Staff.

The bud room is nice and open with lots of space and windows. 4 stars for atmosphere.

Then I looked at the medicine. Although they had a good variety of strains, the quality was low. They charge $60 for buds I can find 2 miles away for $40. 1 star for bud quality.

And now for the real disappointment. I was told after asking that they do not sell half-eights like many other dispensaries in the area do. Then I was told the "new patient special" was a free gram with purchase of an eighth. But remember I only had $35 to spend so that means no special for me! Now the only choice I was left with was to buy a gram of their "top shelf" for $20 and receive no new patient deal. The budtender was not willing to work with me and her best effort was to sell me the "house gram"(a bunch of shwaggy mixed shake buds) for $10. Dock 3 stars for staff.

What a waste of my time.

With the quality and convenience of the other dispensaries in the area, I don't understand why anyone would come here as their first choice.

I assure I am not a fake patient. My name is Riley Madi*** and I've been a resident of CM my entire life. Check me out in your system, I'm in there. Fake patient seems to be your response to negative reviews. "Oh they must be fake...". Maybe instead of trying to defend all of your negative comments, you should work on getting better medicine and lowering your overpriced shwag you are currently ripping people off with. If you cant handle the bad reviews maybe you should take yourself off sites like these.
BTW there is a dispensary that I won't name (unless you'd like me to), less than 2 miles away that advertises a free med sample for ALL NEW PATIENTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR DONATION amount just for mentioning WEEDMAPS. So you are wrong on that one buddy.

The reason only 2 stars for staff was for the lack of customer service I felt in the bud room. What would have rated as 1 star, became 2 stars because of the check-in process.

Many dispensaries in CM provide half-eights of top shelf medicine ranging from $25-$35. So again, you're wrong. Claim me as a fake patient again and I'll come in to make an in-person complaint so you know I'm real.

Since getting my recommendation I've been to a few collectives and I prefer MedMar. However, there's a great deal of what I perceive to be intentional disinformation against this collective so I'd like to give you a rundown as to what it's like to be a regular customer there (and I can say this from experience because I've been there enough times to know better.)

The collective is open seven days a week for patients' convenience,they accept debit cards, and there's ample parking; that's pretty huge. Their selection of cannabis always satisfactory in terms of quality, appearance, flavor, and effect (sometimes it's a little older than what you care for but what the hell.) What's more is that they have a nice variety of edibles, clones, and accessories to start off whatever you need. Though knowledge may vary from individual-to-individual, the staff is always friendly and have NEVER made me feel standoffish or weird about being there. Sometimes going to a dispensary feels like going to a shop; this place made it feel like a trip to the doctors and that's absolutely appropriate. The prices might be high but I find they've got a decent selection, specials to help patients save, and a rewards system that (hopefully) pays the dividends promised.

So why do they have so many opponents in the area? It could be their opposition to Proposition 19 (and sorry MedMar, but I'm voting "yes" on that so figure it out for yourselves.) I couldn't understand why heat would come from the other dispensaries in the area; MedMar serves the middle-class market that's between the value-class Newport Mesa Patients Association and the luxury-class Costa Mesa Patients Association and shouldn't be perceived to be a threat by either. Maybe some patients had a bad experience but are you certain you weren't a little too medicated and over at the dispensary across the hall in the same building (but has no online presence)? I would really have to ask. (by the way, that shouldn't be a knock on the other dispensary across the hall, but I've never been there so I don't know...)

I have been in here a few times and every time I come in the vibe is always pleasant. The meds are pretty good and the staff is super friendly and have a lot of knowledge. I picked up some Plum and a gram of Super Silver Haze during happy time (10% off!). The Plum was amaaazing and the SSH got me so medicated yet kept me awake to complete my tasks.
The budtender that helped me this time was a tall guy who was pretty cool but usually it's 1 of the female budtenders that helps me. I think it was natasha who told me to try the Plum next time I come in and she was right, so thank you!
If anyone has a chance, you MUST stop by MEDMAR and check them out!!

checked them out on wednesday. fairly nice people, budtender chick I had didn't seem too friendly but thats fine. bud selection was relatively poor, not really anything I would want to donate for because quality was pretty low. only decent ones where at 20 a gram, and they didnt offer an 1/8th for it, other top shelf such as the mendo purps looked ok, I would pay 40 an 1/8th for it, not 60, little baby nugs, looked more like shake with the baby nugs. green crack shake a good deal at 45 for a 1/2 and 80 for the full oz, some stems.

Well, I was referred to this clinic from a friend that was all excited / stoned raving on about how many more points he needs for a cool bubb.., anyways...

I liked the idea so I went in.
I was a new member via referral. I got an 1/4 donation of some mid grade nug. Some pretty decent Jack Herrer and some Green Crack. So that should put me at around a minimum of 200 points. Then I brought my girlfriend in. She gets new member + referral points added to mine collectively supposedly... When we were leaving I asked for a receipt of my points and they acted very confused as if they have never been asked that before. They didn't have a receipt and said it is all done on the computer.

So the last time I returned to MEDMAR, I inquired about my points... They said, "Oh, the new point system is under weigh so I can't look up your points but we will add them". They never did and the last three times I have been there they never can tell me hoe many points I have.

I do not get flower from them anymore, for I am discouraged due to their dishonest point system. For the price, it is not "DANK" enough to ask for $60.

I do, however, return to buy their edibles. the Trichome Treats are amazing! So I should have close to 600 points. Oh well, I don't get to cash in... If they stayed up with it, it could have been a cool idea.

The worst of it was when I asked how many screens you get for 100 points. The female bud tender replied stalely, "One."
