i moved to los angeles from the bay area about five months ago. the first two collectives i went to were in west hollywood and suffice to say, they were not the greatest. i was very happy to find med x. the two gentlemen that worked there were friendly and they made the registration process painless. no long waiting. they were respectful and thorough. i felt like i would be hard pressed to locate some collectives that had as much of a selection as a few clinics up in oakland and san francisco, but that is no longer the case.

after getting the general rundown on all the products and specials, i found two eighths that were only thirty five dollars each. i wanted an indica and a sativa so i opted for hash plant and northern lights. the medicine was weighed in front of me which is nice. the pre-bagged method is just not as appealing and i find that you don't get as nice of a bag as you do when it is picked out of a jar and put into a pop top or a sealed, air tight bag. my main purpose for visiting this collective was for the deals on the shake. due to nausea, i use a whole lot of shake to make green caps and there was no shortage of shake at this place. the humboldt shake would not be the best for smoking i imagine, but for concentrates and edibles, it is great. i find it potent when eaten and would recommend it to anyone who uses shake for cooking or making edible medicine. they also have great shake that is higher grade and is nice to add to the humboldt, or to roll with.

the selection of concentrates and flowers is unreal. i don't know if i would ever pay more than sixty dollars for an eighth on principle alone, but at med x you don't have to. a lot of top shelf medicine costs a lot because it looks good but i found that the cheaper meds they have pretty much work just as well. maybe sometime i will try the jedi, master yoda, and lord vader blends when the funds are there. the bottom line is that this collective does not waste time on making their room look like a hipster hangout with electronic big boards and psychadelic posters. they make sure they have something for everyone and have great specials. i will be a regular at this clinic for sure. i have only found one other clinic that is as good.

the parking and access are fine. i don't really worry about that stuff all that much due to the fact that it is worth going a bit off the path to find the best. i am sure if there was a clinic in the beverly center it would be sub par and way expensive. as long as it is not in the middle of an urban war zone, i am happy to make the stop. especially for this collective. this city is full of sub standard collectives that have no business operating due to poor service and shady activity. med x strikes me as about as above board as you can get. excellent selection and fair prices. nice bud tenders. great shake. i would recommend this collective to anyone i know. if you want a pretty room with lot's of decorations and flash, with way overpriced medicine and people who don't know what the hell they are doing, then med x is not for you.

med x is the best spot in la , the service is kind and fast the bud is rigth price and they have a great rewards package on the the 8 visit you get a prize , and they do hook it up

Live nearby so it's 420% convenient. Great cannabis, must try the Darth Vader OG. Really made me enjoy my weekend. Prices are a little steep but they have herbs for every price range. Recommend when you want to smoke something and your tolerance is too high.

Does your shake include trimmings/stems? Or is it nug shake?

MED X IS MY FAVORITE Shop by far..Its right off the 10 fwy in downtown and easy to find. It has a variety of strains and prices for every ones budget. THE SKY-WALKER and DARTH VADER KICKED ASSS! BEST O.G. I HAVE TRIED IN LA.The staff was friendly and extremely helpful :) They also had a rewards program that I have never seen anywhere else..

Just tried this much rated establishment to see what the fuss was all about. First off- the location is hard to beat, right off the 10 freeway going either way with easy access to get back on again at San Pedro st. Many dispensaries are hard to find and hidden from public view, but given the industrial neighborhood, the place is openly advertised, and easy to find. The Australian dude running the place is chill and one of the most honest tenders around, not afraid to say which of his strains are mediocre, which are over priced for their strength, and which are the best value. That alone makes this a place worth returning to. The free joint you get as a first time gift is pretty shabby, but the rewards programs is more generous than most. I tried the mid-range priced($40) NYC Diesel to get a feel for their average stuff. The smell and taste is easily top shelf with a decent high. Will wait until I try the top shelf stuff before adding the 4th or 5th star for quality.

Tried the Master Yoda and Lambs bread. Both were insane. The Jack the ripper was pretty good too. Two extra stars added to the Quality category, three were originally given for the mid range strains.

I just came back from this place for the third time and I love it. The staff already know me by my name in fact they like to call me John The Tipper, I can live with that. The location is no more than 15 minutes away from where I live which is a plus, you just have to go at the right time to avoid traffic. Bud selection is plentiful but I almost never buy anything else than skywalker, and yes it can get expensive but, its worth it.

Little to my knowledge I found out that they offer 30% discounts for military vets. Another plus, just wish I knew about it before I purchased today, oh well next time.

All and all as long as this place remains open I'll continue coming here for my bud needs.

Here goes another review from your boy Smoke Dogg, a couple months back when the best dispensaries in L.A. were getting shut down by the cops I had to go and search for new places to pick up the medical marijuana, and MedX seemed to have some decent reviews and was a featured dispensary so I decided to try it out... to make a long story short..... the staff was pretty cool it and pretty helpful but in the end that doesn't matter if the bud isn't good and reasonable in price.... they had kush for $75 an 1/8 gotdam that bs.... so I settled for a gram of Lamb's Bread for $20 and it looked cosmetically ok and was decent to smoke but it hardly had any smell and was pretty much some of the best weed they had... everything else almost looked like stress.... I've talked to other people who have been here and they pretty agreed with me.... Anyway's I got a free joint of dirt weed for my first visit lol

Med x it has everything you need , the bomb is high quality for a good price the mid grades are strong and
a grate dill its my favorite spot and there laker fans................ its the best spot in LA

This is a pretty great dispensary. There's only one thing I don't like about it, which is the price for the top shelf. Sure, there are plenty of eighths for a lot cheaper, but I want the good stuff. I've seen the same names at other locations for less dough, but this place might have authentic strains, rather than impostors, that reflects the price. Their top shelf does look amazing and I have coughed up the dough in the past, but I'm not sure if I want to anymore now that I've visited other dispensaries that cap at $50. Inventory is always great whether it comes to concentrates, flowers or edibles.

Staff here is always nice and helpful. Very knowledgeable. Facility is clean and well lit. They have their own parking lot. Located right off the freeway. They might still be doing their rewards program. Definitely a place to check out.

Got in at 5 and got my paperwork filled out and processed and i was in by 5:05
pretty quick which is cool if you're in a rush to work

The budtenders are pretty chill people and very friendly

they have separate boards for their hash/edibles/buds

they had a good variety of flowers but i went in for shake and i found it
pretty good prices for the amount
10$ an 8th of Bubba Shake (which is pretty decent and good for your wallet if you're on a budget)


As a first time patient, i got a free FAT joint

I live pretty far from this spot but it was definitely worth the trip

Today was my first visit to MedX and I must say that I am a happy, satisfied customer. I purchased 1/8th of Blue Dream, 1/4 Northern Lights and 1/8th of Bubba shake. So far I've tried a joint of Northern Lights and it was very effective. Now I am vaporizing the Blue Dream and the smell, taste and hit are real cool!! :-) I am so glad to say I am very happy with both, especially the fresh batch of Blue Dream. I am a Sativa lover and the selection is much larger than other dispensaries. Vince explained everything to me and had good customer service. I will definitely visit again even though I came all the way from Monrovia. It's worth the drive in the long run!!! Thanks MedX!!!!!!
